v=e2JOgdl7H9ANot much..batteries were the best compared to my jazzy. Since I walk half a mile each way in downtown dc to get to work and live an active indepedent life on weekend, batteries did a good job. FDA is reviewing invacare and already forced them to recall the joystick.
Today's repair tech said my black box was improperly wired. My 13 yr old daughter received this chair just before Christmas a year ago from A. Our insurance is saying its not medically nessicary for my 13 yr old daughter who is a quad spastic Cerebral Palsy child to even have a frustrating.
My supplier went out of business - no one else will fix it I previously owned an Invacare Arrow, and though it was not as manoeuvrable as the TDX, it was very rugged (though like all Invacare units, noisy).
This chair is useless, unreliable and a Utter Waste of Money.
Safety features like (sure step), (G track) and built-in anti-tipping technology make the TDX SP reliable. Fortunately there were enough workers there to lift my chair back on the sidewalk. I had to call my son to come push me five blocks back home. I picked it up and it didnt get out of the hospital. That took three weeks, in the mean time I had to use a quickie p222se.
Nothing is perfect, I've had just recently a couple of motor replacement's and some other general maintenance. Take precaution when going out in moderate or heavy rain put a cover over the controller mechanism and you should be fine. A rear wheel driven chair that was kind of like riding an out of balance motorcycle.
